The Learning Place

The Learning Place is the Department of Education secure online learning environment providing staff and students with access to digital resources and eSpaces for teaching, learning, collaborating and networking.

Teachers upload resources for students to use at school or home. Students can communicate through web conferencing, chat rooms and blogs, create content in edStudios and share their multimedia creations in the secure edTube environment.

Teachers also set up Virtual Classrooms so students can interact with classmates, learning resources and activities.

Many teachers use the Learning Place web conferencing tool to bring experts into their classroom and allow students to participate in online events like the Online Literature Festival.
